Every day, intelligence analysts face the challenging problems of collecting information, creating rational hypotheses and finding supporting evidence to prove or disprove any specific hypotheses. We employ user modeling (UM) techniques to enhance analyst effectiveness and support active collaboration. We model the analysts and their analytic processes dynamically as they perform their job using techniques from machine learning, knowledge representation, and intent inferencing.
